Finca El Retiro has been operating for over 40 years. It is currently
run by the third generation in the family, and most of the traditions
and practices have been passed down to Luis Fernando, the current manager.
The farm has been well taken care of, the plantation is properly pruned
and in constant renovation to ensure the best quality they can produce.
The Wet mill is technically advanced and last year, they implemented a water
recycling system in order to re-use the water they use as a method of transport.
This is part of a bigger environmentally conscious strategy Luis is implementing
at the farm.
This is the first year we work with Finca El Retiro and are very happy with the
quality of the coffee, particularly when roasted and served as Espresso.
